A Heart for the House
"To every thing there is a season, a time to every purpose under heaven..." Ecclesiastes 3:1

In this new season, the Lord has called us to grow and to extend out of the pot we are in. Although SFCF has been housed in our current Waipahu location for over 25 years.  The Holy Spirit put it in our hearts that it was time to expand and to grow.  And in order to do so, we must be obedient to His Word, humbly step out of faith and out of our comfort zone, and seek out a new home.  But before we could do that, we know and understand that in order to do the Lord's work, financial needs is a must.  We cannot do this alone, so we are calling upon our family, our friends and all who are led by the Lord, to assist in this need.  We know that in this day and time, finances may be a challenge to some, but know that your donation and offering will not be unnoticed by the Lord. And we know and believe that our Lord God blesses us back faithfully according to what we give.  So, we humbly ask for your monetary support of any amount to help us achieve God calling for our ministry.

Mahalo and God Bless!

Why do we give Tithes & Offering?
We do so in obedience to God & His Word. We do this to help the brethren & the furtherance of His Kingdom.

The Word of God say in Proverbs 3:9-10, "Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine."  And in Luke 6:38 it says, "Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you."

But how much do I give?
Scripture tell us to give a tenth or ten percent of our earnings

In Deuteronomy 14:22-23 it says, "You must set aside a tithe of your crops—one-tenth of all the crops you harvest each year.  Bring this tithe to the designated place of worship—the place the LORD your God chooses for his name to be honored—and eat it there in his presence. This applies to your tithes of grain, new wine, olive oil, and the firstborn males of your flocks and herds. Doing this will teach you always to fear the LORD your God."

What if I'm unable to give that much?
God knows your heart, so we always try our best to be obedient to the Word of God.

The Word of God tells us in 1 Corinthians 9:7, "You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”

Therefore, God knows our hearts, but at the same time, let's not rob what belongs to the Lord.  Because here's what scripture tells us if we withhold giving to the Lord.

"Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. But you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ In your tithes and contributions." - Malachai 3:8

Just remember that when we give back to God what is due to Him, He is always faithful to His Word.  He is faithful to provide.  He tells us in Malachai 3:10, "Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need."

What is the difference between Tithes & Offerings?

Many people often think they are one in the same, but they are two different things.  Tithes is 10% of your income that is required by the Lord and is not counted as part of your offerings.  Anything after that, any other monetary givings is considered a 'seed' or offering unto the Lord.  Offerings are more of a free will giving unto God and that can be in any amount.

The Word of God says, "Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back. ”

Remember that the land and all its fruits were given by God. It’s our way of recognizing Him as the provider of all things. But tithes are more than an act of recognition.  It’s also a way of giving thanks for all the blessings that you are receiving.  And anything more that you give to His Kingdom, is because you have been blessed and want to show your appreciation to the Lord.
